Much has been talked about these days about the smartphones from Microsoft, The Turtle and Pure. Lately there has been few leaks. It may be, as believed usually, be a method of getting the interests of potential customers more in the products.

Couple of days before the marketing materials of the handset were disseminated into blogs on internet. Now we have also found the first-ever photographs of The Turtle and Pure along with some of the specs of the two.

The pic of Pure reveals a pretty generic slider that to some extent looks like the Verizon ad. It has touchable squares for music, e-mail and also for the RSS feed. The handset uses Zune-esque typography and not only this, it is also apparently a social networking hub handset featuring all the connections to popular websites such as Twitter and Facebook.

The Pure reminds users of the sleeker version of Tilt of AT&T. The body of The Turtle is just like a blobby Palm Pre.

There has also been nabbed few specs by the Gizmodo for both the phones, which includes:

The screen of Turtle is 320 by 240 and that of Pure is 480 by 320.
The codenames of both the Turtle and Pure are used in the firmware. However, it do not indicate the names of actual product.
As like Windows 7 and Zune, the OS is based on Windows CE.
Verizon is the carrier.

Earlier, as it was talked about, the Pink of Microsoft, were touted as the killers of iPhones. The same ways as every single release of every single smartphone ever.

One question that goes unanswered to me is that in the coming seven months why should someone buy Windows Mobile when the Windows Phone 7 is coming in the market for the holidays?

Let us check what the senior director of Microsoft, Todd Brix, has to say about this.

In a phone interview to one of the newspapers he said, “People have to obviously decide whether they want to wait for Windows Phone 7 or buy now.” It is very clear that the future will always be advanced in technology than what we are using now he said.

Well, here is a small exception. Microsoft is unveiling the Windows Phone 7 earlier than what it has been scheduled, some eight months before. Moreover, recently it has been announced that Windows Mobile apps will not be working on the new OS. Hence, effectively the demand has been squashed for the OS than what the company is actually selling at present.

Brix says that if an user wants great e-mail experience on the Windows Mobile then the product has it. He also added that the mobile’s Windows Marketplace offers its customers too many productivity and also many business-oriented apps. He suggested in his brief talk with the media that the Windows Mobile will be treated as an affordable enterprise solution.

Brix adds further, “Windows Mobile is a very competitive solution for a lot of things people are trying to do with smartphones today. What we’re trying to do with Windows Phone 7 is push the experience a little higher.”

Brix also confirmed that the company is also expecting some mobile handset manufacturers to release more Windows Mobile 6.5 phones before the release of Windows Phone 7. He also mentioned that the present lineup of the Windows Mobile handsets will go unupgradable to the Windows Phone 7.

He said, “Our plan is to really support both Windows Phone 7 and Windows Mobile 6.5-based devices … for several years.”

Brix further briefed that the Windows Mobile 6.5 handsets will be cheaper, on an average, than those of the Windows Phone 7 Series.

Hence, it seems that people may opt for Windows Mobile 6.5 because it will be cheaper.

Tag software is the first application by Microsoft that has been made for Android operating system, the main rivals to the Windows Mobile.

Tag is already available on the Windows mobile, the iPhone, Symbian and Blackberry handsets. Android is the last one to get this application.

Tag application or similar to this helps in linking people to websites, passes on information or even give a discount to visitors on online stores.

With the launch of the Tag application for Google Android keeps Microsoft to continue making software for the rival phone firm.

Microsoft made the first iPhone app in December 2008 named Seadragon. In 2009 it released the Tag for Apple handset.

Till now Apple has the maximum mobile apps store and the media report says that in early January over three billion applications of Apple were downloaded.

This launch of Microsoft has been made against a background of good and strong co-operation among the operators on mobile phone’s software.

Recently, on 24th of February, the largest mobile network phone operators of the world banded together in developing Wholesale Applications Community and with this it is a try to make it easy for the developers of applications to make as well as sell phone apps.

Microsoft also unveiled recently a revamp of its mobile operating system. It was the most popular Windows Phone 7 Series. Later in 2010 it will be launched for public.
