There is much more to come from Microsoft in its Windows Phone 7. The company briefed part of the tooling story of the phone at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) this week. Microsoft explained specifically how the company is planning to get more games developed for this Windows Phone 7.

The main thing on the platform will be XNA Game Studio tool suite. The present version of XNA Game Studio suite (3.1) allows the developers of building games which can run on the Windows PCs and also on the Xbox 360. Even of the Zune media player devices.

The next version, Version 4.0, will also be supporting the Windows Phone 7 apart from the Windows PCs and Xbox 360 consoles, not included the Zune HD. This was revealed from a blog post of Michael Klucher, XNA Development Platform’s Lead Program Manger.

It has been seen in recent days that the officials of Microsoft have been releasing information related to Windows Phone 7 piece-by-piece. The first time Microsoft shared the preview of the phone was in mid of February at the Mobile World Congress show.

According to the officials of the Company, all the information about the phone and its development story will be revealed at the Microsoft’s Mix 10 conference that is going to start on March 15.

This week at the GDC the company officials shared some important information about the XNA side of the Windows Phone 7 story. One of the details is as given below:

“Yes, We have hardware accelerated 3D API’s on Windows Phone 7 Series. Yes, We have Visual Studio 2010 integration with our toolset. We’ve even added buffered audio support to the Audio API’s that many of you have asked for.”

“The other key component of XNA Game Studio 4.0 that we’ve enabled exclusively for Xbox partners is Xbox LIVE and a premium gaming experience on Windows Phone 7 Series. Through the Gamer Services API’s you can pull in a user’s Gamertag and 2D Avatar as part of the game experience, unlock achievements on the platform, and leverage notifications for asynchronous turn based gaming.”

The official also said that the company will continue to support the game development for the Zune through the XNA Game Studio 3.1 release.

Much has been talked about these days about the smartphones from Microsoft, The Turtle and Pure. Lately there has been few leaks. It may be, as believed usually, be a method of getting the interests of potential customers more in the products.

Couple of days before the marketing materials of the handset were disseminated into blogs on internet. Now we have also found the first-ever photographs of The Turtle and Pure along with some of the specs of the two.

The pic of Pure reveals a pretty generic slider that to some extent looks like the Verizon ad. It has touchable squares for music, e-mail and also for the RSS feed. The handset uses Zune-esque typography and not only this, it is also apparently a social networking hub handset featuring all the connections to popular websites such as Twitter and Facebook.

The Pure reminds users of the sleeker version of Tilt of AT&T. The body of The Turtle is just like a blobby Palm Pre.

There has also been nabbed few specs by the Gizmodo for both the phones, which includes:

The screen of Turtle is 320 by 240 and that of Pure is 480 by 320.
The codenames of both the Turtle and Pure are used in the firmware. However, it do not indicate the names of actual product.
As like Windows 7 and Zune, the OS is based on Windows CE.
Verizon is the carrier.

Earlier, as it was talked about, the Pink of Microsoft, were touted as the killers of iPhones. The same ways as every single release of every single smartphone ever.
